About me
Mark Leslie Lefebvre (who often writes under the name Mark Leslie) has been deeply involved in the book world since his first short story was published in 1992. A horror and speculative fiction writer at heart, he is the author of the Canadian Werewolf urban fantasy series, including A Canadian Werewolf in New York, Stowe Away, Fear and Longing in Los Angeles, Fright Nights Big City, and Lover’s Moon, as well as the dark fiction collection One Hand Screaming.
Beyond fiction, Mark is an unapologetic book industry nerd. He has worked in almost every kind of bookstore and served as President of the Canadian Booksellers Association, Director of Self-Publishing and Author Relations for Rakuten Kobo, a board member for BookNet Canada, and chair of the Professional Advisory Committee for the Writing & Publishing program at Sheridan College.
His nonfiction for writers includes Wide for the Win and An Author's Guide to Working with Libraries and Bookstores. Mark holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing with a concentration in Publishing and is an in-demand speaker on author empowerment, wide publishing, and the business of writing.
