About me
Brigitte Winter writes books about your favorite monster ex-girlfriends. She also writes narrative games, poetry, and short stories. The capacity of storytelling to connect, inspire, and incite is central to Brigitte’s art and her activism, and she makes art that is queer, feminist, intimate, and deliciously weird. Her most recent short story, Redo, was published by PodCastle in March 2025, and her fiction has also appeared in City of Weird: 30 Otherworldly Portland Tales and New Year, New You: A Speculative Anthology of Reinvention. She is also the editor Tales from the Cryptids, an anthology of uncanny TTRPGs, fiction, poetry, and weird ephemera forthcoming from Scryptid Games in fall 2026. She was a 2023 Dicebreaker Tabletop Awards Finalist for Designer of the Year, and her first full-length TTRPG, Psychic Trash Detectives, won the 2024 CRIT Award for Best Indie TTRPG and Best Cover Art. Brigitte lives in Maryland with her partner and six rescue animals. Her debut horroromance novel, The Normal Monster Club, will be published by Generous Press in 2027.
