About me
Rachel is a first year English master’s student concentrating in literature at George Mason University. They received their Bachelor of Arts in English at George Mason University and currently hold a graduate teaching assistantship. As an emerging scholar, Rachel believes in diversifying the literary canon and prioritizing accessibility to knowledge. Rachel’s identities in both the neurodivergent and queer community informs all the work they do. Often, their writing revolves around blurring the lines of gender and finding traces of the LGBTQ+ community in literature, often found in the spaces between what is and is not said. Their research interests include medieval and gothic literature, monstrosity, gender, supernatural encounters, and poetry.
