About me
Jeff Deck is an indie author who lives in Maine with his wife, Jane, their dog Rippey, and the ghost of their dog Burleigh. Deck writes science fiction, fantasy, horror, dark fantasy, and other speculative fiction. He is the author of the horror story collection Survivor and Other Modern Nightmares; The Shadow Over Portsmouth series (City of Ports, City of Games, City of Notions); the supernatural thriller novel The Pseudo-Chronicles of Mark Huntley; and the sci-fi gaming adventure novel Player Choice. Deck also writes holiday romance under the name Augusta St. Clair and fae romance under Catriona St. Clair. He is the author, with Benjamin D. Herson, of the nonfiction book The Great Typo Hunt: Two Friends Changing the World, One Correction at a Time (Crown/Random House). In addition, Deck is a writing coach and editor. He works with authors to help them tell their stories. He enjoys reading speculative fiction, exploring New England with his family, playing video games, and plundering from the past and future.
