Elizabeth Broadbent (she/her) left the South Carolina swamps for the Commonwealth of Virginia, where she lives with her three sons and husband. She’s the
author of Ink Vine (Undertaker Books, 2024), Ninety-Eight Sabers (Undertaker Books, 2024), Blood Cypress (Raw Dog Screaming Press, 2025); her speculative fiction been published in places such as Hyphenpunk, Tales to Terrify, If There's Anyone Left, Peunumbric, and The Cafe Irreal. During her long career as a journalist, she was a eight-year staff writer for Scary Mommy, in addition to writing pieces for The Washington Post, Insider, The Daily Mail, and ADDitude Magazine. She has appeared on NPR's "All Things Considered," MSNBC, CNN, Canadian Public Radio, and BBC World News.
