About me
My passion for books and writing started in elementary school with Scholastic Book Fairs consuming all things cryptid and ghostly. Later, being in my High School Drama Club introduced me to my love of Stephen King and joined a teen writing group. Then I got to work Borders Books, Music, and Cafe in the 1990s - one of my most favorite jobs next to working for ten years with the Maryland Renaissance Festival. After college I became a freelance write with articles published in trade magazines in the early 2000's. Which leads to today where I've since transitioned to writing horror. One of my flash stories received an Honorable Mention with The Wonder 2025 Flash Fiction Writing Battle’s contest. Another story will be in the upcoming Scary Stories to Tell at Cult - September 2026. My flash fiction story,The Unusual Tombstone, was published in the 2025 Creatures, Crimes and Creativity anthology. I currently serve as president of the Carroll County Chapter with the Maryland Writers Association and member of the Horror Writers Association. I'm currently querying my debut cozy horror novel, in the vein of folklore/occult, BURIED SECRETS ON DARBYTOWN ROAD which is set in rural Maryland, based on true events and includes the true history of a forgotten flooded mill town and lore surrounding its demise.
